WPS SPAM Email

Dear WPS Families,

Today, a WPS staff email account was compromised and used to send messages to some of our students at McCall & WHS. The messages referenced an "Estate Sale" and did not come from our staff member. We've secured the account, and our Technology team has removed the emails from student inboxes.

If you or your student received this message, please don't reply, click any links, or open any attachments. Just delete it.

A few good reminders:

1. Never send money, gift cards, or payment information in response to an unsolicited email.

2. Never share passwords or personal information over email.

3. Be cautious of messages that feel urgent, unusual, or too good to be true, even if they appear to come from someone you know.

If you're ever unsure whether an email from the district is legitimate, please don't reply to it. Instead, contact the district or school directly to confirm.
