Volunteer Opportunity - Human Rights Commission

Winchester's School Committee is seeking two community volunteers to serve on the town's newly established Human Rights Commission (HRC): one resident and one high school student. 

The HRC was created to advance Winchester's Human Rights Statement and to help ensure that every resident, student, employee, and visitor is treated with equal respect and dignity. The commission serves as a point of contact and advocate for anyone who has experienced bias, harassment, exclusion, or discrimination, makes referrals to local and state resources, and holds educational programs and events in partnership with groups across town. It's a meaningful way to help make our community more welcoming and inclusive, and the student seat is a great opportunity for a Winchester Public Schools student to bring their perspective to this work.
